  10. Frog Xing system requirements

  12. Frog Xing can run on some 680x0 and all Power Macintosh systems. The
  13. following is a recommended system configuration for the game: 
  14.  
  15.      System 7.0 or greater.
  16.      A 68040 processor or Power PC Mac.
  17.      A monitor supporting 16 or 256 colors or greys.
  18.      A screen resolution of 640 x 480 or bigger.
  19.      Sound Manager 3.0 or greater.
  20.      2.5 Meg of available RAM.
  21.      1.2 Meg of hard drive space.

  23. You can try running Frog Xing on lower end 68K systems,  but performance
  24. might not be optimal. If you have any problems running the game, send us 
  25. email and we'll do our best to figure out why.

  27. How to play
  28.  
  29. Frog Xing is a well-paced arcade game in which you guide a frog across a 
  30. highway and a river to dock on the other side. You can catch bonuses along 
  31. the way to score extra points.
  32.  
  33. Frog Xing has a nostalgic look to it, with a tip of the hat to the classic
  34. arcade games. With both traditional and new sound effects and a hopping 
  35. music score, the gameplay is addictive and should be fun for both novices 
  36. and arcade experts. Even children will enjoy watching and helping the 
  37. frog cross to the other side. A simplified but still challenging version of
  38. the game, called "Child's Play", is available to registered users. It should
  39. make the game more fun for younger children aged about 5 to 11.

  44. What's new with version 1.2
  45.  
  46. Fixed a memory problem that caused Frog Xing to crash on some
  47. Power PC Macintoshes. If you have experienced any memory problems
  48. with Frog Xing, we suggest you upgrade.

  50. Added a check for thousands and millions of colors. Frog  Xing runs
  51. best in 16 or 256 colors, and now when you run the program with your
  52. monitor set to thousands or millions of colors it asks if you want to
  53. switch to 256. When you exit the game, your original setting is 
  54. restored.

  56. Improved the menus and dialogs to adhere to the Macintosh User 
  57. Interface Guidelines.

  59. How (and why) to register
  60.  
  61. Frog Xing is shareware and costs U.S. $15.00. This means that you 
  62. can try out the program for 30 days and see if you like it and enjoy 
  63. playing. If you do continue to enjoy the game, then please send in
  64. your shareware fee. Shareware authors are not salaried employees
  65. who draw a paycheck no matter what. We only get paid if honest
  66. people send in their payments.

  68. Without continued support from the Macintosh community, we cannot
  69. afford to continue developing games. I already know far too many 
  70. people who say: "I have a PC cause there aren't enough good Mac
  71. games". That phrase depresses me more than any other and I make
  72. every effort to convert people to the Mac whenever possible. And 
  73. quality games go a long way in converting people. If you're trying to
  74. decide whether or not to register, just ask yourself if you'd really
  75. like to live in a world where you can only run Windows 95.

  77. Registering Frog Xing is pretty easy. Just run the register program that
  78. came in the Frog Xing folder. If you don't have a register program, then
  79. run the Frog Xing application, select "Register Frog Xing..." under the 
  80. Game menu and then click in the "Create Register" button at the bottom
  81. of the dialog. Once you have the registration program, run it and choose 
  82. the payment method that you would like to use and enter your personal 
  83. information.

  85. If you pay by credit card, then you can either email, fax, or postal
  86. mail the form, whichever you prefer. If you pay by email, then send
  87. the appropriate form to sales@kagi.com. If you prefer to fax the

  99. have an email address. It will usually be sent within 3 to 5 business

  104. sould arrive with it in about 1 week or so (more or less, depending on
  105. where in the world you live). If there's a long delay, then send a note with
  106. your original payment information and an explanation of the problem to
